I cut grass today for the first time since the day before Thanksgiving. I had a great day. I only did five, but with no employees it seemed so peaceful. It was hot enough to wear a t shirt but to cool to really sweat. Everything I did needed cut but did not really need trimmed. No bugs of hornets to contend with. I love cutting in December. I had already packed it in for the year, but now I am planning on at least working through the rest of the week. Forcast here in Pittsburgh is calling for low 70s tomorrow. If this keeps up maybe I will rent a Santa suit and mow Christmas Eve Day.:D

It's nice to mow all day and not break a sweat. I'm still mowing all of my accounts, but quite a few are every other week. We're having 70 and 80 degree days. Last week the lows were in the 60s. This week the temp at night is dipping down into the mid 30s. Still not much rain. I'm thinking we might be mowing the week of Christmas. I was hoping to take a long break, but I'll take the work where I can find it.
Take care, Bill!

There's something about being on mower in december and smelling the gas and exhaust and feeling the throaty vibrations that gets you, just well, you know where...
I mowed a bunch of lawns today myself:)
Kinda weird doing it when there should be frozen ground and not green grass,But hey what the heck amost all of my plow contracts this winter are seasonal contracts and paid up in full so might as well do that to make extra money that I wasn't counting on.
Eric,
good luck with the new forum site

Its the calm before the storm. Maybe this year will not be as bad as last winter. I agree, its nice to see some grass fly in Dec.

It was a great time to mow. I got rained out yesterday. I finished one before it started to rain today. Now they are saying 38 and snow this weekend. I new as soon as I took the equipment back out this would happen. I have no luck.
