Has anyone seen the new trimmer from Shindaiwa??
T-25 I think. Four stroker with a twist!
A four stroke engine, but if runs on two stroke fuel. No oil in the crank case. 10,000 rpm Little heavier than their 2 stroke units, but lighter than the Honda.

I haven't seen it yet. I do know that mixing the oil and gas together is leading to the demise of all 2 stroke engines. I can't see where there would be any advantage, emissions wise, to Shindaiwa doing this.

This trimmer/motor meets CARB standards up to 2007.

I saw the new Shindaiwa four stroke at the Peoria Farm Show last week. It's lighter in weight than my T-270 but I don't know how it compares with their other models.

Is it mixed with the same amount of oil or less?

The Shindaiwa 4-stroke trimmer uses the same 2-cycle oil/gas mixture as in the 2-stroke trimmers.

After taking 5 Days to buy a trimmer I was looking for lightweight, power, minimal vibration, durability, and ergonomics. I looked and held these models STIHL, echo, Husqvarna, and Shindaiwa.Well you can say I am a madman when it comes to finding the best of the best in any product I look at. Well with my search that took 8 hours a day 5 days researching, talking to ordinary people and professional landscapers like a lot of you in this forum. Here it is are you ready? Shindaiwa T2500 C4. What an incredible trimmer. It should last me 20+ years. LOL?. With proper maintenance!
