Purchased a trac vac for one of my Z masters this fall and wasn't pleased with it's performance, hassle of adding weights, clippings blowing on my neck, etc..... My dealer tells me a couple days ago that he just bought a truckload of Turf Speciality Products quic vac with the spindle driven system, no extra motor to hassle with. Told me he is selling them for $900 !!!!!new. I believe it's the 15 Z model, with the lever so you can dump from your seat. I'm going to demo his unit wednesday and it lives up to it, I'm selling my trac vac to another local scaper and getting one. These units tradtionally go for over $2000. Just thought I'd share the news with anyone local or willing to have one shipped.

I have the Turf Specialty sulky. Its been a good solid piece of equipment. I've never tried or seen anyone around here with one of the vac units. Look it over when your demo'in to see if you find any weak points that could be trouble down the road.

I've been checking into a vac unit, and I've found most people prefer the separate engine drive units. You can probably sekll that trac-vac oretty easy - theres a great place here just for that. ;)
