I have one run with 5 customers that equals about 10 acres. That is my longest day around ten hours.

Wished I had a trimmer guy.:D

Find someone that would like to pick up a little extra every week. With that much at one time and no drive time this guy will pay for himself.

Thursday is my "Heavy Day"...

1st yard is 1.5 acres, drive 1/4 mile to the next 3 (side by side) that are 2 acres each, drive a mile and do a 4 acre yard (3.5 acres mowable), then 2 small yards that may equal another acre. It is about 11.5 acres and would take from about 12-14 hours from start to finish (including lunch and depending on the lawn/weather conditions).

Most of that is done on a Gravely 260Z, 25hp, 60" deck. Solo operation.

27 acres of grass, not much trimming, 3/4 mile of edging, lots of trash to pickup, many rough and steep areas. My largest industrial site, have done it solo in a long 14 hour day, using M665 with 60" deck.

None. I can't even picture what a 1 1/2 acre lawn must look like. Is it like 33 2000 sf lawns pushed together? ;)

My yard is 5 acres, and mow and trim in 2 hrs. lots of trees and landscaping with the 60" + flex-deck = 78" trimming mower under a JD 455 all wheel steer. (One machine)

We mow a 7.5 acre grass airstrip with 24 landing lights to trim around in 42 minutes with (2 machines. )

120' x 120' yards with bushes and clothes lines, and bird feeders and all that other stuff they have take about 17 minutes. (1 machine)

Thanks, Brad

Wow, It is hard to belieive those numbers if those are residentials.
36 acres in 6 hours, pretty good numbers, must be flat ground and must not be alot of trimming and edging.

LGF probably has it about right - 3 operators @ 2 acres per hr per operator = 6 acres per hr. = 36 acres in 6 hrs. You will note he said a subdivision where everything is close.

Flex-Deck, you left out trim and blow time, which on most residentials is at least 1/3 of total time. So they are mowing 36 acres of residential yards in 4 hours {give or take alittle time}. Averageing close to 3 acres per hour mowed, including time moving from yard to yard, that's real impressive.

From what I could gather he runs 2 60" lazers and 52" hydro walk behinds, so he must be haulin booty on those machine to cut, trim, edge and blow 36 acres in 6 hours.

Yea midsouth, I appologize - I guess I just consider mowing and trimming and blowing the job. when I talk times I include the above. Thanks for your correction. Brad

I wonder how many Eric can get done in one day? From looking at the pictures he has of all his lawns it looks like its several days of cutting.

I have some picky clients that have larger properties that are cut with a 36" wb p-er their request. I estimate roughly 22m/sf an hour for heavily landscaped areas. This is strictly mowing, no trim/edging or blowing times incl.

Ask Jay ALC, and Evan528 I took them though there.

Not every thing needs to get trimmed every week, (wood lines)

Avg 1/2 hour per a lawn and they are in the same subdivision.

Sometimes take up to 7 hours in the spring.
