Hey guys on my mower it has the yanmar diesel and when Im running it the temps get up to 205-215 and thats not in high grass and its not real hot hear yet. So far I have done some trouble shooting-
1. I checked the fan and its turning fine
2. Checked intake and its getting plenty of air
3. The radiator is clean, and plenty of fluid
4. I checked waterpump and the belt is fine
5. So I removed the thermostat and still the same
If you can think of something that I'm forgetting let me know I only have 370hrs on it right now. Oh yeah the dealer is worthless!

You should not be alarmed at 205 degrees. If your warning siren goes off THEN you have a problem. Can you see through the fins of the radiator? It is not a good thing to remove the thermostat,I would put it back.If your dealer can't help you try another dealer.

The alarm goes off at 220 degrees. If that happens shut it down and fix the problem.Your owners manual has maint.info on the cooling system.

I just got in a half hour ago from mowing with my XWD2600-60 with Flex-Deck (1050 hrs). The temp guage read about 220? much of the time. The radiator has just been repaired and cleaned. The temp guage on this unit has always read higher than my previous XFD2600-60. Could the two guages just be giving different readings for the same temp?

Yes it is possible for 2 guages to read different temperatures.A 50%mix of antifreeze and water are required in your unit

I went to Syn. Rotella T oil by Shell last year and noticed it runs cooler. This may help. :)

Im running Amsoil synthetic right now. What I did do is read my yanmar manual and put distiled water in it with a corrosive inhibitor and low and behold she only runs 195 now so Im happy!
