All,

I've got an XXWD5000-72 that I bought new several years back and it currently only has 270 hours. It has been an awesome mower and has really cut my mowing time by 2/3rds.

I'm having the following problems.

1. Once I've been mowing and the engine temperature gets above 175 degrees if I turn it off I can't restart it. I need to let it cool down to about 160 to 165 and it will start back up perfectly.
a. When I try to start it hot it turns over just fine and the horn goes off but it just won't start until it cools down.
b. Typical running temperature depends on the height of the grass but is usually between 185 and 205 (also depends on outside air temp).

2. Just last week I've notice a hydraulic leak coming from the right rear wheel. I took the wheel off and the silver brake drum to see what was going on. ...None of the hydraulic lines going to the wheel motor were leaking but it was leaking from the very end of the wheel motor where it actually spins the wheel. I also found some fishing line wrapped around this area.

Any Ideas on what I should do?

Thanks

You may have a popped circuit breaker Check the white wire comming from the starter. It should be hot with the engine cranking. Crack an injector line loose while you are cranking,to see if you are getting fuel,You may have a bad fuel solonoid.Good luck! :)

You probably a need new seal on your wheel motor. It is not hard to change.
Your dealer should have this part in stock :)
