As I told you on IM about 1 1/2" from the top of the tank. :)

I was told "up to the top of the baffles."
Slightly OT: is it normal to have some leakage from the cap?

No the cap should not leak.perhaps you have too much oil in your system. You could also have a defective cap.Have your dealer look at it the next time you are there. ;) Dripping hyd oil will kill grass.

I don't have a trailer to get it to the dealer. (He used a forklift to get it in the back of the pickup to get it home. I don't think I could get it back in.)
The level doesn't seem to be down like it's dripping a lot, just enough coming out of the cap to make the top/side of the tank oily and pick up dirt. The yard is pretty bumpy so maybe it's splashing up?

It should not leak at all. :)

Where in Indy are you? If not corrected and dealer can't come to you possibly I can trailer it for you to have someone look at it or service it for you.

Hovey, thanks for the offer. I'm way west of town (about 18 miles west of 465). I suppose I should ask the dealer for a new cap first though.
Maybe it's not getting screwed on tight? I think it only turns about a quarter turn.
