On the OCDC, the handle has broken off of the unit. The corner of plate steel where the handle upright was welded seperated and the handle come off in my hand. My question is, can I weld this back on and will it hold up to stress?

Yes if the welding is done properly,or you can order a 900014 handle from your dealer :)
