My dixie chopper has had a slow leak in one of the rear tires since I bought it. I told the dealer about the problem and he gave me some amer-seal which did not fix the problem. So I take the tire off and take it back to the dealer and he says that tires are not under warranty and feels the tire up with more amer-seal. I am worried that the tire will continue to leak. What sould I do???
I am wasting more time on this tire than what I am saving with the new mower! Thanks

I would submerge the tire in water to see exactly whats leaking.I have seen rims leaking(that should be covered) or it could be the seal between the tire and rim.Have your dealer call the service dept and we will take it from there.

DC Service, my dealer called your service deptment today and the dealer told me my mower is more than 90 days old so they can't do anything. So I called the service department myself and they told me they would talk to the dealer.
Hope everything works out.

Honestly, the water thing, save the gas by not having to run a leaking tire back to the dealer, buy a plug kit, find the leak and plug it. If its in the rim, just try tapping the tire with a hammer right where its leaking, sometimes there is just something along the rim making it leak.

You can buy a plug kit anywhere for about $10.00. This can fix 40 or so leaks in your mowers, trucks, ect tires.

Try submerging the whole, inflated tire in water. Could be a leaking valve stem or the removable "core" IN the valve stem also(leave the cap off when you submerge it). Try replacing the whole valve stem if you see a leak. The rim is a possibility also. Good luck.
