I have a 23 Hp Dixie Chopper that is flooding itself out when running at low RPM. I thought it was the plugs, so I replaced them, didn't do no good.I replaced the gas which didn't help. Took breather off and checked but still same problem while it was off. The fumes are terrible while idle speed and barely runs. Took carburetor off to see if it was stopped up and cleaned, put back on and same problem. After all this, I clamped the rubber hose on the left side of the carburetor and it started running fine. Took clamp off and and started missing again so I have got the line clamped as of now and running fine. My question is, what do I need to do now?

I would change or rebuild the carburetor. It sounds like your float may be sticking, causing the motor to flood out at low RPMs.Most dealers do not rebuild carbs anymore( its sometimes cheaper to replace it!) and sometimes rebuilding does not solve the problem. If your motor is under 2 years old,it might be covered under warranty.Good luck! :)
