Is the recommended grease Lithium based or calcium? My owners manual appears to have a typo where the callout is made.
Thanks for the help. I never thought I would enjoy cutting grass so much. :)

The Lucas Red N' Tacky (a lithium thickened type)is what should be used on your Dixie Chopper. One of my favorite sayings is" Grease is cheaper than parts!" The reason for a lot of parts failing is lack of lubrication,so please take the time to follow the reccomendations in your owners manual.Good luck! :)

The way I see it any grease is better than none at all. i heard Amsoil has good grease aswell.
I recently bought a 2005 CC XG2703 and the stickers also say Lucas HD. I bought red n tacky grease. Upon overgreasing one of my front wheel spindles I found the grease which came out was not red n tacky, so it probably is Lucas HD. However I do agree that any grease is better than no grease.
