I am fixing to change the VTC (hydro) fluid in my 88 hour year old dixie. I am gonna use the Lucas oil that is recommended (can't member the numbers on it). What I am wondering is how much oil do I need to buy and what is the proper procedure to change it and keep all the air out of the system? Also what are the part numbers on the new valve kit to take the "jumping" out of the drive system at low speeds. What is the cost of that kit also, would now be a good time to change that out while I am changing the fluid???

Your Hyd system should not "jump" take your unit back to your dealer for proper diagnostics. The "valve kit" was for converting the old Schaffer oil units to VTC.This kit is no longer available,as the upgrades are already built in the new pumps. If you follow the instructions in your owner's manual, you should not have any problems changing the hyd oil.I believe your unit holds 2.5 gallons(dry) of Lucas 15W40 Magnum Heavy Duty High TBN Long Drain Truck oil.Let us Know how you make out! :)
