According to Fox News, today will be the first time in recorded history that there will be measurable amounts of snow on the ground in all 50 states at the same time. Poor Al Gore and his silly *** "global warming" jackasses.
I happened upon http://www.countryztr.com/index.html while looking for blades. I have a Dixie Chopper Silver Eagle and this looks interesting. I don't know anything about them and was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the subject. Thanks.
i have a jd L111 riding mower 20 hp twin.(homeowners ed.) i want to put a snow blade on it but i am unsure of the strength of the frame under a load has anyone made cross members or boxed a frame ? its been a good rider so i really dont want to twist the frame.
Hey guys, been a while. (SORRY) what a winter we had here this year. 150" of snow and counting I think from Dec 15-Feb 15 I had about 3-4 days off, alot of those days I plowed all night, slept 3-4 hrs then worked all day. Only to plow again that night. Way too many days working 18-20hrs out of...
what kind of weather forecast is this?
My Dixie has an old 20hp Kohler Magnum on it. I use it for snowblowing in the winter and mowing in the summer. I have a lot of trouble starting it when the temp drops near 0 degrees (F) and have been considering an engine or oil heater for those days. Does anyone know of a heater that would work...
Hi all, This forum looks pretty dead but I've gotten so much good info from the Dixie forum here I'll put this out there and see if anyone can help. This is about a Troy-bilt Polar Blast 10530. Can't remember the year but it's seen some heavy duty on our 400' driveway. This drive was gravel...
Hey guys, been a while since I've been around here, but gotta snow plow question. I'm gonna go look at a Boss 8' 2" Rapid Tach II V plow this week for my 01 F250. I've always run westerns, but this looks like it could be a good deal and i just dont know what to look for on a used Boss blade, any...

Man what a year it has been 96.6" and counting (most of that between Dec1 and now) I have been out salting or plowing 28 times since Jan 15th and that does not include cleanup nights. there has been 4 - 8" or more snows in that time which count as 2X when I bill (double what they pay for 2-4")...
I posted a similar question on the dixie chopper part of this site, but thought i would throw it your way as well. I have an old faithful dixie chopper and feel that it is a shame to store this machine for the winter, while I contemplate buying a snowblower to clear my 200' drive. I know dixie...
Title says it! Let's see pictures of your plow trucks, skidsteers, atv's, front end loaders...whatever you use to push snow. I had some free time to clean up the truck since its mid 50's here in the midwest in late December....this weather is driving me crazy! :nut:

I was backing up, hit a large pool I did not see. I am really lucky it fell backwards instead of on the truck. Im even luckier nobody got hurt, didnt fall on any cars, and that I didnt have my pickup truck. First pic shows the salter damaged. Look on the bottom right and you can see it even bent...

Hi, I have a new toyota tacoma and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas of which snow plow would work well for me, thank you
I'm useing a single stange snowblower and it has the rubber auger. What i need to know do i need a bigger machine. I picked it up used for 60 bucks and this last snowfall it just dosn't seem to be clearing the snow as good. The auger keeps getting clogged and i can hear the engine straining. I'm...
Here is a few pictures of my newest plow truck..

I was just curious on how everyone does their billing for plowing. Do you bill by the hour, sq feet, or say the amounts of snow? I think it would make more since to bill by the different amount of snow so that way you?re not losing money if you are an experienced plow'r.
For you folks who use snowblowing equipment..I would like to get your comments on a few issues.....I live in cornwall ontario.. I run a small one man operation of snow removal and grass mowing, with 12 to 14 small residential accts..Increasing my workload could be easy because I too provide seniors...
Question about snow blowers -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My son and I have a small, part-time LCO (primarily residential). Two days ago we got hammered by the biggest snow fall since '95 in our area (12-16 inches). I know thats just a...

How many of you guys here in the midwestern area got some snow to push yesterday/today? I was all excited, hearing 6-10 here, get up this morning at 3 to see what i had to push, we had an inch, only on grass, nothing on pavement. BUMMER!! I can't do any cleanups, due to the extreme muddy...
