Trimmer Line - Which is best??

Echo cross fire. Never had it weld once , I`ve cut rag weed and purple lustrife as thick as raspberry bushes with it and never had it weld once. I tryed that hexigonal stuff made by weed eater and it welded under regular use in regular hight grass

I like the megatwist as well. The best string I've used though, is the string that comes with new Shindaiwa heads. That stuff is great, but you can't buy it anywhere.

You can get Shindiawa line at a good Shindiawa dealer. Many dealers won't carry it because it costs more. But if you want something that never welds or frays, Shindiawa line is it. It comes only in round, but the supposed reason for the square line and other fancy shapes is not valid. Trimmer line is going so fast, you get the same cut with the flat side of a square line as you get if you happen to hit it with the corners, LOL. So round line is just fine for trimming.

Ive used Gator line for the longest time. With normal, square line, i was respooling every 8 hours. Once i switched to the Gator line, i was going around 12 hours between respooling. Great stuff, never welds, doesnt break whatsoever! It is reinforced in the middle with the same material that is in bullet-proof vests. Because of this, i have to carry a knife to cut it (also due to my edgit). Highly recomended!!

I use CROSSFIRE .095 and love it.

Husky Titanium .105. Have never had it to weld. Lasts longer than any other I have tried.

i just tried the titanium line from husky and is it just me or is it quieter? before i was just using the cheep stuff you get anywhere but i tried the huskey line and it was quieter(i thought) and it cut better.... is it just me or has others seen the same thing?
