    Stripping kit for Dixie Choppers

Does anyone have plans to make a stripping kit for a DC? I am interested in making one for mine but do not want to have to spend a lot of money.

i wonder if you could use a rubber mat on the back ,like truck flap that you could mount on back.

I am thinking of making one out of the rubber mat. Seems to me it would be a low cost way to make nice stripes.

Rollers do give a nice stripe, but when you hit a rough spot, the chains have the advantage. The chains also help break up any clumps of wet grass(if you are mowing in high, wet grass),and they don't get stuck or hit when loading and unloading.

I have also been looking for a cheap striping kit for my DC. I added the X blades, and boy what a difference that made! That was a great start, and improves discharge tremendously. I would try this first... you can always add later!

    home made chain striper

Can someone, who has made a chain striper, post pictures of it and the "ins and outs" of making it?

Here is what we welded up. Very similar to what Dixie sells.
